Yamshita Nobuhiro’s works are tributes to the fleeting youth. The characters always try to do the most absurd things seriously. They may seem reckless and ignorant, yet a sincere heart is what they have. These are the portraits of the characters in Yamashita Nobuhiro’s movies. With the director’s observation of the society, he shows the most down-to-earth scenes through his camera. Even though in the eyes of others, they may be losers, what they do leaves them with a blazing memory of their youth.
