Social movements have become an everyday occurrence that draw the attention of some documentary filmmakers. They suspect a secret organisation has been controlling the weather to discourage citizens in participating in large-scale demonstrations. Prior to the umbrella movement, we pick up our cameras.

Artist’s Statement

The year 2014 is an important year to Hong Kong; would we make one step towards democracy or decadence? Downpours took place on both 4 June and 1 July of 2013, and the rumours of weather control started to emerge. This
is a world that even raining is seen as unnatural. To what extent has political surveillance been affecting our lives? Would Hong Kong citizens turn cynical or would they step up and fight?
