Saddle the Wind

Hong Kong / 14'20'' / In Cantonese with Chinese and English subtitles

Saddle the Wind unfolds over a humid summer night, closely following a Little Bullet crew known as “Day and Night.” Led by their captain Ah Lun and vice-captain Panda, the riders move through the city’s arteries—between neon lights and glistening asphalt—where the hum of wheels and rush of wind form a rhythm of their own.

They drift between alleyways and flyovers, carving out a fragile sense of joy and presence along the city’s edges. More than a portrait of movement, the film becomes a quiet reflection on growing up—when youth search for exits within the cracks of rules and order. What appears as defiance may, in truth, be a way of sensing the world, and inching closer to who they are.
