Master Class and Artist Mentoring Scheme:
“Behind the Illusional Reality – on Film Art Direction and Costume”
Tina Liu
Why would audience be immersed into the filmic realm on cinema screens, and falsefully take that as the reality? After all, they are just looking at moving images that are not real, aren’t they?
How do we define the ‘real’ and the ‘fantasy’ in cinema? Who should be the one to define? And in what grounds should we define? How can audiences be deceived?
Ms Tina Liu, Hong Kong Film Arts Association Vice Chairman and a veteran on image design and costume direction, might have all the answers which she would share at this Master Class.
