Ulanda Blair
Ulanda Blair is Curator, Moving Image at M+, an international museum for contemporary visual culture that opened in Hong Kong in November 2021. At M+, she is helping to build the moving-image collection, while presenting exhibitions, commissions, screenings, publications, and events. In addition to co-curating weekly screenings in the M+ Cinema, her key curatorial projects include The Hidden Pulse (co-curated with Sarah Rees) at the Sydney Opera House (2019); CRUCIFIED TVS—NOT A PRAYER IN HEAVEN by YOUNG-HAE CHANG HEAVY INDUSTRIES in the M+ Focus Gallery (2021-22); Individuals, Networks, Expressions (co-curated with Pauline J. Yao and Lesley Ma) in the M+ South Galleries (2021-22); and site-specific commissions by Moniker (2022), Ellen Pau (2022), and Nalini Malani (2022-23) on the M+ Facade. She also oversees the M+ Mediatheque, a play-on-demand facility featuring 250+ artist videos. Previously she was Curator at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI).
