Artist’s Statement

Goh Uozumi is an artist, and founder of “Whole Museums” (wholemuseums.org) which develops next-generation museum protocols by cryptocurrency, blockchain, and distributed web technology. He has been working on the establishment of "trustless" as an artistic concept in the recent years. "Trustless" means no longer believing in a trusted third-party but instead in algorithms, and this word is often used in communities of cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin. The trust as nature was kept and handled between humans until the beginning of the 21st century. But now, the human civilisation is promoting mechanical automation of intelligence, contract, labour, and the trust. In this context, he says, "Trustless is an axis of the automation movements".
