Artist's Statement

To me, a good life means having a roof over one's head and three square meals a day, as well as being given the room to realise one's potential. However these three simple requirements remain pipe dreams to Hong Kongers. The Indonesian and Hong Kongers in this film are dream chasers, yet they have to struggle just to survive. They have the same dreams, which inevitably get crushed. This portrait of Hong Kong makes me feel sad and rootless. I hope that, aside from striving for what we want, we can also unite and fight for the beautiful life we are all entitled.
