We usually forget reincarnation is merely illusions, similar to those we see on television. We sometimes get lost in the dramatic big waves and drift along the water flow. When we have had enough, and are determined to practise a clear mind, we will realise that those affecting us are simply tricks. All looping arguments, comfort and pain are just a scenery.
Artist’s Statement
The inspiration of this film came from the countless quarrels I have had with my mother. I have a good relationship with her, but we often cannot help but say the most hurting things to each other. After such quarrels, I inevitably feel guilty and remorseful. One time, when my mother was on a tirade, I was conscious of the moment when I lost control of my emotions. I recorded this moment with animation as a reminder to be always mindful, and with practice, I hope I can be free from the never-ending cycle of suffering and anguish.
