Artist's Statement

Avner, Igor, Kipnis and Leon are defined by society as mentally ill, dangerous to their surroundings.

 "Where the Sky Ends" offers a rare glimpse into their world enabling to see the person behind the stigma, a person with feelings, hopes and dreamsof the past and dreams of the future.

 We wished to evoke these universal feelings hoping to generate empathy and solidarity influencing society's prejudice.

Nevertheless, it was important for us not to paint their lives pink and also expose the suffering and the painwhich to some degree serve as a mirror for us so called "normative" society.
