This is the year when the familiar turns strange, when protectors turn to the source of fear, and the past becomes the present. We may need to think about this, “What is it that we are facing right now? What is the one thing we fear that would appear out of nowhere?＂
Artist’s Statement
This is the first time that I attempted to make a film of this nature. What if one day, society does not allow us to voice out anymore, how else can we express ourselves? The work is not direct in its expression, but uses symbolism, which may not be accurate but hopefully reflects the current situation and give vent to my feelings.
