Present Moment
Chan Woon-ting Naomi
Present Moment is an interactive installation about subjective time experience. With a simple setting of mirrors, reflections and projections, it creates a tiny little journal for oneself to experience the existing moment consciously.
Artist's Statement
Present Moment was inspired by a daily experience of looking into a mirror, holding thoughts. We all live in the moment here and now. How about our spiritual status? How much actual time have we spent our thought in the existing moment other than wondering the future, regretting the past? How much time we stay our focus at the present moment?
“When I pronounce the word Future, the first syllable already belongs to the past.”---quoted from Three Oddest Words by Wislawa Szymborska
Feel the moment between past and future, the moment not exist for even a second.
