An orphanage of various sounds. An ocean without witness of the crowds. The child of nowhere, longing for returning home.
Artist’s Statement
For some children, the fear of being abandoned have been their eternal theme for the whole life. Their lives are like suitcases abandoned by an intimate person and later picked up by some strangers. In the continual-reversed and far-distanced journey of living, one’s childhood was silently and forever abandoned from that moment onwards.
For that, the story of The Child of Nowhere appeared in my head. I made this film to share these children’s unhappiness and longings with the audience.
