Artist’s Statement

Life Through a Lens originally started as a school project among we three students, but soon after the planning had begun, it developed into a much more meaningful film to us. Using the film as a platform to spread ideas, we wanted to provide a commentary on the fears that many Hong Kong students are facing: the fact that they are restricted in following their own passion and dreams. This fear evolved to become the core of the film, and resonated with many of our peers. It also allowed us to develop our own skills as upcoming filmmakers, and to showcase our ideas to the school and all other Hong Kong students.
