Journalist Sammy once gave up reporting the truth, and that led to her good friend’s suicide. Years later, her quest for the truth puts other people in danger. Sammy therefore feels completely lost.
Artist’s Statement
The creation of Sammy is inspired by an actual event in which a Hong Kong journalist feels responsible for the death of an interviewee. I hope to lead audience in exploring the misconceptions about truth itself through short-film creations, leaving them with a powerful impression via movie aesthetics.
