Even though the bakery chain stores keep expanding, Mr. So, the owner, insists that with the advantage of good quality, he can manage to run his own small bakery. It is hoped that the small bakery can continue to strive and motivate the new start of each day.
Artist’s Statement
The documentary The Handmade Buns is based on the story of Mr. & Mrs. So, the bakery owners. It covers the time when they were still bakery apprentices till they became the bakery owners. We hope that the public will value our unique Chinese and western fusion culinary culture and the young generation will learn to work as dedicated as Mr. So.
