Artist’s Statement

This short film is part of my exploratory process of adapting Singapore novel "Art Studio" for my next feature film. It is also part of "667", an omni-bus Chinese dialect language film commission, in which I attempt to utilize elements of memory and politics to examine historical re-enactment in Cinema. I am also keen to investigate the complexity of the Hokkien language in Singapore, exercising selfreflexivity in questioning the very nature of the commission.
