With her extraordinary ability to see the dead, a teenage girl, working as a psychic in a temple at night, confronts traditional values and the superstitions of adults, all while trying to get to the birthday party of a classmate she has a crush on.
Artist's Statement
I initially intended to write a story about a teenage psychic’s personal problems. After doing research and delving deep into this subject matter, I realised that the religious culture in Taiwan and the issues involved are far more widespread and profound than I thought. Working on this film has expanded my perspective beyond its everyday setting, changing the way I view the entire universe. I want to dedicate this short film to Sophiyah Liu, who has greatly inspired me to make this work happen. She is one of the coolest people I've ever met.
