Artists’ Statement

School bullying is a social problem that should not be overlooked. Young people may bully others for fun without considering that their actions may affect the victim for life.

The protagonist has hearing disabilities and because he cannot clearly hear what people say and consequently has poor communications with teachers and other students. He is slow to understand others and he also reacts slowly. His self-esteem hits all time low, and becomes a constant victim of bullying.

I believe that a director is someone with the power to manipulate media. I hope to raise a warning to the public about not neglecting the grave consequences of school bullying through the camera lens and the media, as well as through the efforts of myself and Prime Production, and in so doing fulfil my social obligation as a media worker.
