How would gender minority come out to their families in such a conservative community? What impact would bring about to their relationship, when a mother and a daughter, both being gender minority, come out to each other? Will their pain be relieved at the same time?
Artist’s Statement
There is a great deal of room for improvement in terms of society’s acceptance of gender minorities, and as a result, they face a great deal of disapproval and disrespect. I wish to represent the suffering of those who are oppressed by the society’s conservative attitudes with this film. At the same time, I hope the audience will consider from the perspectives of gender minorities and sympathise with their concerns and struggles.
