“Garisani” means the “perception to judge things”. The new-born baby god goes around the underworld and starts a journey to escape from his destiny.
Artist's Statement
I'm making experimental animation films. They explore ancient stories and the deep connections between people and nature.
Juror's Comment
Unique experimental animation. It juxtaposes a soft, repetitive black and white metamorphosis animation of semiabstract characters with a colourful, surreal environment of traditional and religious visual symbols. Sophisticated visual compositions, interesting imaginary spaces, beautiful drawings, and powerful visions make this work one of the best in the competition. (Tamás Waliczky)
