A story about mutual dependence and love. 15-year-old Wing lives with two foster siblings in an old lady’s apartment. To reunite with his father, Wing saves money by all means. Likewise, Wing’s brother believes in returning to his mother’s shelter while Wing’s elder sister, who has mild intellectual disability, feels distant relating to her own parents.
Departure is a lesson to be learnt while growing up. The story not only posed questions on defining “home” and “family”, but the three kids spending time together also meant to lead to separation in the future. This short film gave me a chance to organise and examine some of my thoughts from the past. With the completion of the work, which recorded and concluded a phase of my life, I felt relieved and overwhelmed by the gratitude to everyone who had participated.
