The film is jointly completed by my father and me. The story is inspired by a childhood friend of mine, whose mother killed herself with pesticide when he was two. Since then his father and he have been living their life dependent on each other. As I was writing the script, I made reference to his experience, as well as our childhood memories about digging herbs and hunting scorpions.
