A young woman visits her father before he moves to an elderly home. Outside, the Umbrella Movement reaches a critical juncture, and at home she is having lunch with her father. Loosely adapting Chan Wai’s two short stories written some twenty years ago, Chinese indie director Ying Liang transplants some of the details to the 2014 Hong Kong, and makes them equally touching.
