Movie posters were painted stroke by stroke by posterists in the old days. Yuen Tai-yung has been one of them since the 1970s, depicting movie stars with his hand-paintings. Posters for over 200 movies that he drew single-handedly have witnessed the heyday of Hong Kong film industry. The documentary features Yuen telling his own story and showing his own drafts, as well as interviews with showbiz veterans like Michael Hui and Kenny Bee on Yuen in their eyes.

A young woman visits her father before he moves to an elderly home. Outside, the Umbrella Movement reaches a critical juncture, and at home she is having lunch with her father. Loosely adapting Chan Wai’s two short stories written some twenty years ago, Chinese indie director Ying Liang transplants some of the details to the 2014 Hong Kong, and makes them equally touching.

Eight teams participating in the challenge, including teams led by Adam Wong (director of She Remembers, He Forgets), Welby Chung (renowned TV commercial and music video director) and Mo Lai (cross-media artist), will push the boundaries of production and create a brand new short film within just 48 hours. These eight films will be screened at 7.30pm, 25 September during the Carnival, to be adjudicated by Nansun Shi (veteran film producer), O Sing-pui (renowned film director and cinematographer) and Eric Poon (documentary filmmaker / Associate Professor, School of Journalism, Chinese University of Hong Kong), as well as voted by the audience. The winner will get a prize of HK$100,000!
