InkFlux - Freeland

InkFlux is a state infused with Zen, it breaks down the convention that leaving white space for the “emptiness” in traditional Chinese painting. The pictorial depiction of the work is built on nihility to bring out the atmosphere of “images from the path to learning” and “enlightenment”. Featuring 18 clouds-like misty scenery, the paintings are true physical images derived from the tear gas data of different area in Hong Kong map.

Artist’s Statement

“Just let the formless cloud, flowing in the wind.” InkFlux: Freeland consisted of 18 clouds scenery, derived from the tear gas map data of different zone in Hong Kong.
