Art Node x ifva on 18 Aug (Wed)

For those who are interested in knowing how the annual Hong Kong Independent Short Film and Video Awards (ifva) plays the role of a cradle of local creative talents, the Live Webcast Event on 18th August is definitely a good programme to view. Three ifva alumni, IP Yuk-yiu, John CHAN and Yan-yan MAK, will be sharing their experience of joining ifva.

Hong Kong Premiere – Berlin Alexanderplatz (Restored Version)

As part of the Hong Kong Arts Centre’s Classic Film Series “A Lean Night”, a restored version of Berlin Alexanderplatz by master German filmmaker Rainer Werner Fassbinder would be premiering in Hong Kong. Set in Berlin between the two world wars during the rise of Nazi Germany, Franz struggles to reintegrate into the world after a four-year incarceration for murdering his girlfriend.

“2010: A Wan Chai Odyssey” Short-film Commissioning and DVD Project

Co-organised by Ying E Chi and the Wan Chai Cultural and Leisure Services Committee and supported by Hong Kong Arts Centre & ifva, “2010: A Wan Chai Odyssey” is now open for proposals on short-film production to encourage and subsidize film projects that endeavors to tell the story of Wan Chai district.
