As progressive as computer software updates, CINEMA 2.0 celebrates the development of creative media and technology with artistic attempts that combine established film languages, the latest media technology and new thoughts.
ifva collaborates with art.ware in a continued effort to promote exemplary new media artwork from all over the world to our local audiences. This year’s two events, live performance and media art exhibition, offer yet another chance to sample the “what’s hot” in the global art scene.
Media Art Exhibition: Ryusuke ITO’s Cinema Machine
Well-known for his experimental films, Japanese media artist Ryusuke ITO will visit Hong Kong with four of his cinematic installation works for the first time. His works have been exhibited internationally and the selection this time explores the relationship between media and everyday life by the playful usage of micro toys.
