.:.: The 15th ifva Final Showcase

Youth Category

We all know about growing pains, don't we? An anorexic girl is on the verge of an ultimate breakdown in ANA (Isaac HARRISON/ 14' 1"/ in English with Chinese subtitles). Is rewriting the past possible? The
hero in Exploration of Time (MOK Veuk-fai, LEUNG Chun-kit, PAN Leung, KWOK Wai-ho/ 21' 32"/ in Cantonese with Chinese and English subtitles) takes on time travel and discovers such possibility. Breath (TANG Kwong- Suen, PANG Chun/ 1' 42"/ no dialogue and subtitles) and The 6th Step (CHEUNG Chun-ki, WONG Yik-fung/ 9' 59"/ in Cantonese with no subtitles) are both haunted by going to school: the former is a fight-for-freedom tale about a number-phobic; the latter is a fantasy about a magical laboratory capable of producing A-students. In Some Another Days (Emma CHAN/ 4' 40"/ no dialogue and subtitle), a young lost soul wanders around the city, leaving traces of youth. Three of Us (WONG Wing-yee/ 4' 6"/ in Cantonese with English and Chinese subtitles) brings us the heartwarming memories of growing up with grandma and grandpa. Where (MAK Ho-nin, MAK Ko-nin/ 11' 40"/ no dialogue and subtitles) is a gradeinduced ghost story. We Sing We Sing (CHANG Hiu-laam, HO Chor-man/ 27' 2"/ in Cantonese and English with no subtitles) depicts a group of youngsters making a few bucks by singing here and there. The short by LEE Chung-hei (我的回憶不是我的/ 6' 41"/ in Cantonese with no subtitles) is a childhood-nostalgic story caused by a VHS. Story of Our Tuck Shop (PANG Tin-yui/ 9' 58"/ in Cantonese and English with English subtitles) tells us the heartbreak and sorrow of how the food stall in Diocesan Boys' School is refurbished. Destructive Love (SIN Pui-wu, NG Sui-ling/ 27' 9"/ in Cantonese with no subtitles) looks into the entanglement between love and life through the eyes of several love victims.
