OBJECTIVES
- To discover and nurture the next currents for local creative industry of moving images
- To encourage creativity, aesthetics and innovative use of medium
- To encourage cross-fertilization of creativity, knowledge and experience on media creation among different regions in Asia
LOCAL COMPETITION
There are four categories: “Open Category”, “Youth Category”, “Animation Category” and the “Interactive Media Category”.
ASIAN COMPETITION
Other than the local competition, ifva has opened up a section – “Asian New Force” since 2002. It aims to nurture and encourage exchanges among all Asian independent practitioners.
Every year the winners will have a chance to travel to and showcase their work in local / overseas international film festivals.
The 15th ifva Award List
In collaboration with the Hong Kong International Film Festival, two 15th ifva awarded showcases will be shown on the April 4.
